As a Holistic Nutritionist (HN), Lisa Powell merges her experience as a scholar in Complementary Alternative Medicine, certified training in Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® LEAP® (Lifestyle Eating and Performance), and her recent designation as Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition® by the HCNB credentialing board. Her career has been defined by a broad understanding of all levels of integrative health practices.
Lisa brings a unique offering to the table by looking at mind-body components when helping people add more life to their years. Her time spent in Japan has inspired her to bring concepts, such as Ikigai, into her nutrition wellness practice. She believes ikigai (purpose in life) is essential and at the core of healthy living. Then a custom-tailored whole foods diet and vibrant lifestyle plan can be incorporated into the ikigai. Together, these pieces make up vitality.
As a nutrition professional, Lisa provides nutrition and wellness support founded on evidence-based and holistic principles so clients can improve diet, lifestyle and attitude to help prevent disease and promote health.
Lisa enjoys community! She serves as Portland Chapter President of the Holistic Chamber of Commerce and has recently received the 2016 Community Award by the NANP (National Association of Nutrition Professionals) “in recognition of the work to make a difference in the health of our nation.”
